The ribbon on which the snail is standing enables it to turn the wheels of the bolide and move at a much higher speed than its usual mode of locomotion: around 100 times faster than its usual speed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The \u201cSpeedster-snail saga\u00bb project does not advocate for speed and growth; on the contrary.<\/strong> It takes a light-hearted approach to issues that are nonetheless major subjects, such as the continual drive for performance, the cult of rivalry and the augmentation of living organisms.  It raises the question of inter-species communication and the ever-stronger relationship we are developing between living beings and technology.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Speedster-snails Dominique Peysson\" width=\"930\" height=\"523\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HKHpWr0-N4s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\t<p>I \u2019augment\u00ab the little beasts, but always with respect. To offer them an extension of their field of experience, without rushing them. This work does, however, have a critical component. On the anthropocentric conception we project onto the animal kingdom, for example. I generate a whole little world of devices, which raises the question of communication between species and the ever-stronger relationship we're developing between the living and technology. Of course, this can be seen as a transposition of transhumanism. Are we going to endlessly seek to surpass the limits of what is possible, or might we be thinking more along the lines of sharing new ways of seeing the world between ourselves and the various living kingdoms, in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding? The petit-gris.
